The people
behind the projects

Barry Keenan

Managing Director
Barry’s passion for construction began early, growing up on sites with his father and learning the value of precision and craft — a principle he still follows: measure twice, cut once. With over 20 years’ experience, he started his career in 2005 with one of Ireland’s top fit-out contractors, managing complex national projects including Dublin Airport Terminal 2, Transport Infrastructure Ireland HQ, and O2 and Three retail rollouts.

In 2019, Barry founded Built to bring craft, clarity, and care back to fit-out delivery. His leadership shaped the BUILT360™ system — a model grounded in safety, quality, and trust. A CIOB Fellow and CMYA Gold Award winner, Barry continues to champion building done properly, from detail to delivery.

Alan Russell

With 18 years’ experience across Ireland and Australia, Alan brings deep sector knowledge and a hands-on approach to commercial fit-out. A collaborative leader, Adrian builds cohesive teams, coordinates contractors, and drives projects to successful completion. His hands-on approach ensures outcomes that align with client expectations and budgets while maintaining the highest standards of delivery.

Kevin Stanley

Senior Project Manager

Known for his problem-solving ability and design awareness, Kevin combines creativity with analytical rigour to achieve exceptional results. He is fully certified in health and safety, with deep knowledge of planning and building regulations, and excels in stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
Specialising in technically complex healthcare projects where precision and compliance are critical, his key works include the Fulcrum Building at UCD, Vodafone, the Shelbourne Hotel, and Beacon Hospital — all delivered to the highest standards.

Darren Kavanagh

Site Manager
Darren began his career in Perth, Western Australia, gaining a strong foundation in interior fit-out with one of the country’s leading contractors. He delivered high-specification projects for blue-chip clients, developing expertise in quality-driven, fast-paced environments.
After returning to Ireland, he worked with a global fit-out specialist on complex projects across Dublin and London, refining his precision, collaboration, and technical management skills to international standards.
Joining Barry’s team, Darren brought deep knowledge of commercial fit-out delivery and became a key part of Built Interiors’ leadership group alongside Barry and Martin. His calm, solutions-focused approach and technical capability ensure every project — from pre-construction to completion — is delivered to the highest standard.
