Contract Value €3.4m, value of managed works including Client Direct specialists €6m – Duration 32 weeks.

The works consisted of a refresh and re-purpose to the existing leisure facility. The refurbishment was spread over an area of approximately 42,000 ft2 within a live environment keeping most facilities open at all times with minimal impact to its 7000 members. The works consisted of New Spa facilities which ran from day one with a programme of 38 weeks, New Fitness Studios which also commenced on day one with a programme of 28 weeks, DL Kids commenced on day one with a programme of 6 weeks, Bar and Club Room commenced following the completion of DL kids with a programme of 10 weeks, Reception commenced 4 weeks into the Bar programme and completed in conjunction with the bar. The Swimming Pool and Change rooms were de-commissioned with a programme of 10 weeks.

Reception:

Upgrade existing glazing and doors, New Reception Desk, floor, wall, and ceiling finishes with the breakthrough access for the new Fitness Studios.

Bar & Club Room:

Complete strip out of all existing furniture and finishes. Installation of new Bar and Kitchen with all associated equipment. Construction of new walls. Installation

of new Furniture, Joinery (pods and booths), doors, floor, wall, and ceiling finishes.

DL Kids Area:

Installation of new Children’s Play area with upgrade of existing finishes to walls, ceilings, and floors.

Pool Area:

Removal of existing Sauna and Steam rooms with area developed into a poolside relaxation area. New tiling to floors, walls and columns. Refurb of pool, new doors and

painting to ceilings.

Change/Locker Rooms:

Complete strip out of existing change rooms with the installation of new Mechanical and Electrical, new DAC toilets, new Lockers and Vanity Units, new tiles to floors and walls, new doors, ceilings and painted and decorated all areas.

Spa:

Demolition of existing studio area with a re-build consisting of new Hydro and Plunge Pools, two Deep Relax Rooms, Crystal Steam and Citrus Steam, Finnish Sauna and Himala-yan Salt Sauna, two Feature Showers, Foot Spa and Feature Relax area with Heated Beds.

Fitness Studios:

Conversion of an existing tennis court into four areas known as the Blaze Studios, these being a High Impact Area, Mind & Body Area, a Spin Cycle Studio and the Blaze Waiting Area with installation of new lift and feature access stairs. All of the rooms have their own Audio Visual and Lighting experience.
