Client Overview
Zurich Insurance, a global insurance provider, required an upgrade of the canteen space at their Wexford office. The office serves as a dynamic workspace that supports their dedicated workforce and client services.

Project Background
The project aimed to revitalise the existing canteen space into a modern Staff Tea Station and a high-end Food Servery Area. The scope included a complete demolition of the previous setup, followed by the installation of state-of-the-art facilities. The renovation was designed to enhance employee satisfaction and align with Zurich’s corporate aesthetic.

Challenges Faced
One significant challenge was managing construction within a three-floor occupied office building. The renovation on the first floor required meticulous planning to ensure minimal disruption. Access to the site was limited to an emergency stairwell, demanding precise coordination to avoid safety hazards. Additionally, noise restrictions were imposed to accommodate the office's operational hours, limiting construction times to early mornings, midday, and evenings.

Successes Achieved
Despite the tight 8-week schedule, spatial constraints, noise restrictions and the busy active environment, the project was completed successfully. Effective coordination of site deliveries and tasks ensured that disruptions were minimal. The newly renovated areas were delivered on time and met all the client's requirements, demonstrating Built Interiors' ability to handle complex projects efficiently.

Innovative Solutions Implemented
Innovative solutions included the installation of new raised access flooring and plasterboard bulkheads, which provided a versatile and modern look. The introduction of featured joinery walling and specialised catering equipment in the servery area enhanced functionality and aesthetics. A dedicated safety coordinator ensured that all materials were managed properly to maintain clear emergency pathways.

Key Factors Contributing to Success
The project's success was achieved with rigorous planning, experienced project management, and proactive communication. The adoption of a phased approach to the demolition and construction activities allowed for seamless progress without compromising the safety and comfort of the office staff. Additionally, the strategic timing of disruptive activities minimised impact on the office’s daily functions.

Conclusion
The Zurich Insurance office renovation in Wexford is a testament to Built Interiors’ commitment to excellence and client satisfaction. The project not only improved the functionality and aesthetics of the workplace but also adhered to strict safety protocols, ensuring a seamless renovation with minimal disruption. This project showcases Built Interiors' capability to execute complex renovations in operational business environments, reinforcing their reputation in the corporate interior renovation industry.
